My name is Laura Kennicutt and I am a Brooklyn-based writer who graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. My main passion during school was screenwriting, a natural transition after having participated in local theater for nearly ten years before college, as a writer, actress, and in various other capacities.
In 2006 I co-founded the website www.LizandLaura.com with my longtime writing partner (Liz). This website features original writing, humor, reviews, art, and even a few games. It didn't hurt that I happened to be dating a computer programmer who builds websites for a living.
This is my seventh year living in New York City, and I have managed to survive life on the island thanks to a string of ultimately unfulfilling administrative jobs and a fair number of high bar tabs.
